Energy budget and fault activities, how these two are related?

How can waveforms alert us to a large event?

In a study directed by Dr. Michelle Almakari, we are studying low-amplitude waveforms that are typically ignored or lost in the background noise. We are attempting to determine what information may be obtained from synthetic waveforms in light of the fact that large earthquakes develop over time before rupturing quickly.
